NIAGARA FALLS —
Russell J. Ortman, 56, of Niagara Falls, NY, entered into heaven, unexpectedly, on Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at his residence. Born on March 25, 1956 in Buffalo, NY, he was the son of Doris (Rhinehart) Ortman of Lewiston, NY and the late Charles Ortman.
Mr. Ortman Graduated from Lewiston-Porter High School in 1974 as well as Niagara County Community College, where he earned his AAS Degree. Russell later attended Niagara University. On June 10, 1978, he married the former Mary Jane Beishline in Youngstown, NY. Mr. Ortman was the owner and operator of AlphaOmega Janitorial, Inc. in Niagara Falls, NY. Russell was a longtime member of Niagara Frontier Bible Church, in Lewiston, NY, where he was currently serving as Deacon. He enjoyed Christian Comedians and listening to Christian music. Above all, Mr. Ortman loved spending time with his family.
In addition to his mother and wife, Mr. Ortman is survived by three children, Steven R. (Michele) Ortman of Niagara Falls, NY, Bethany (Bobby) Revell, Jr. of Niagara Falls, NY and Scott (Rachel) Ortman of Niagara Falls, NY; and was predeceased by one daughter, Karen A. Ortman. Russell was Opa to four grandchildren, Bobby III, Caleb, Ethan and Grace. He is also survived by two brothers, Charles J. Ortman of Lewiston, NY and Jeffrey (Amy) Ortman of Lewiston, NY; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The family will be present to receive friends on Friday from 1-3 PM and 5-8 PM in the Chapel of the OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME, 2215 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY (297-9007). Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service to celebrate Russell's life on Saturday, November 17th at 11:00 AM in Niagara Frontier Bible Church, 5287 Bronson Drive, (corner of Bronson Drive and Upper Mountain Road) Lewiston, NY, with Pastor Tom Broderick officiating. EVERYONE PLEASE ASSEMBLE AT CHURCH. In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made to the Missions at Niagara Frontier Bible Church, 5287 Bronson Drive, Lewiston, NY 14092.
