Michele "Mickie" Rizzo

NIAGARA FALLS —

Michele "Mickie" Rizzo, 60, passed away and joined her beloved parents and sister in Heaven on November 22, 2013 with her family by her side and under the care of Niagara Hospice. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Emily (O'Connor) Rizzo.
Michele attended local schools and was the manager of her family business, Emily's Pizza Shoppe in Niagara Falls, NY for over 30 years until 2004 when she began her employment at Seneca Niagara Gaming until she became ill in December 2012. Michele, known by most as "Mickie", devoted her entire life to taking care of her family, whom she loved unconditionally. Even while she battled illness, she was a devoted daughter and continued to care for her mother, Emily. Her love, humor, laughter and positive attitude will live on with the loved one's shes left behind. Life going forward will be very hard for all who loved her and will miss her dearly.
Michele was predeceased by her father, Anthony Rizzo, on January 27, 2000; her mother, Emily Rizzo on April 15, 2013; her sister, Diane Aquino on June 21, 2005. She leaves behind her best friend and cousin, Alice (Aurelio) DiRamio of Lewiston, NY; cousins, James (Michele) O'Connor of North Tonawanda, NY, Angela (Jeffrey) DiFant and baby, Emily DiFant of Syracuse, NY, Anthony DiRamio of Knoxville, TN and Brian O'Connor of North Tonawanda, NY; also many friends, especially her dearest friends, Rosanne (Roy) Wilson of Las Vegas, NV and Rose Basso of Niagara Falls, NY.
Visitation will be on Monday from 4 -7 PM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY. Family and friends are invited to assemble for a service on Tuesday, November 26th at 11:30 AM at St. Joseph Cemetery Chapel, 3806 Pine Ave., Niagara Falls, NY.
