TOWN OF WHEATFIELD —
Andolfa "Del" (Intravartolo) Shyhalla, 81, of the Town of Wheatfield, died on Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital in Williamsville, NY. Born in Dunkirk, NY, she was the daughter of the late Salvatore "Sam" and Rose (Saeli) Intravartolo.
Del, as she was affectionately known by family and friends, graduated from the State University of New York at Fredonia where she earned a Bachelor's Degree. She was employed as a teacher by the Niagara Falls Board of Education. Del loved her music and flowers. But her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren.
Del was predeceased by her husband of over fifty years, Nick Shyhalla, on February 15, 2012. She is survived by four children, Michael Shyhalla of Niagara Falls, NY, Kathleen Shyhalla of West Seneca, NY, Marybeth (William) Bielat of Simsbury, CT and Patricia Shyhalla of Williamsville, NY; two granddaughters, Isabel and Natalie; one sister, Lucille (Dan) Malczewski of Webster, NY; and several nieces and cousins.
Friends may call on Saturday, January 25th from 10:30 - 11:30 AM at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY, where a funeral service will begin at 11:30 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 Noon in St. Vincent DePaul at Prince of Peace Church, 1055 North Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY with Rev. Joseph Carlo officiating. Interment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY. If desired, a memorial donation may be made to a charity of one's choice.
