Agata A. Forgione


Agata A. (Ferrelli) Forgione, 78, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on Saturday, October 20, 2012 in Niagara Falls, NY. Born and educated in Prezza, Abruzzi, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Costantino and Cristina (Rosatone) Ferrelli.
Agata married Anthony Forgione on January 15, 1955 in Niagara Falls, Ontario. She was a parishioner of Holy Family of Jesus, Mary, and Joseph Parish at St. Joseph Church, and a member of the Cristoforo  Colombo Ladies Society, both in Niagara Falls, NY. Agata enjoyed playing bingo and going to the casino, but most importantly enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
In addition to her husband of  fifty-seven years, she is survived by a son, Cesare (MaryAnn) Forgione; a daughter, Sylvia (Guido) Virtuoso, both of the Town of Niagara, NY; two granddaughters, Cristina Virtuoso, and Diana Virtuoso; a sister, Antonietta (late Aldo) Pesce of Italy; and several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.  She was predeceased by her sister, Lina (late Giovanni) Pasquale.
Visitation will be Monday from 4-8 PM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Rd., Niagara Falls, NY, where funeral services will begin on Tuesday, October 23rd at 9:15 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at Holy Family of Jesus, Mary, and Joseph Parish at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 27th St. and Independence Ave., Niagara Falls, NY. Entombment in St. Joseph Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Diabetes Association, 315 Alberta Dr., Suite 102, Amherst, NY 14226, American Heart Association/American Stroke Association, Hearts Gifts Processing Center, PO Box 3049, Syracuse, NY 13220, or Roswell Park Cancer Institute, PO Box 631, Buffalo, NY 14240.
