John Kochan

NIAGARA FALLS —  

John Kochan, 80, of Niagara Falls, NY, died on Sunday, October 7, 2012 at Niagara Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Niagara Falls, NY. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Joseph and Sofie (Tolmak) Kochan.
John was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls and attended local schools. He worked as a housekeeper at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center and retired in 1996 after forty-two years of service. He enjoyed walking and repairing bicycles.
John is survived by one nephew, Richard Golaszewski of Niagara Falls, NY; his friends and caretakers, Annette Sweatman and Jeff Hogan, both of Niagara Falls, NY and Tyson Highway, Jason Highway and Vicki Highway of Niagara Falls, NY, whom he helped raise.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 13th from 10-11 AM at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON FUNERAL CHAPEL, 468-19th Street, Niagara Falls, NY, followed by a funeral service with Deacon Richard Golaszewski officiating. Interment in St. Michaels Cemetery, Lewiston NY.
