Helen Wrobel

NIAGARA FALLS — Helen (Wielgus) Wrobel, 89 of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on Tuesday, June 5, 2012. Born on August 5, 1922 in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Sophie (Nasiadka) Wielgus and attended local schools.

Helen was a proof reader for Moore Business Forms, a member of St. Vincent DePaul Parish (formerly Prince of Peace), she enjoyed spending time with family and friends, crafts, crossword puzzles and pets.

She is survived by her children, Christine Wrobel of Niagara Falls, NY, Henry E. "Skip" (Kathleen) Wrobel, Jr. of Indiana, Paul (Wendy) Wrobel of Delaware, Michael (Jeannie) Wrobel of Florida, Jack (Kathy) Wrobel, Tom (Andrea) Wrobel, Martin Wrobel and Tim Wrobel, all of Niagara Falls, NY; her sister, Regina "Reg" Amery of Maryland; ten grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Henry E. Wrobel; brother, Edward Wielgus; and sister, Irene Rice.

Friends may call on Friday, June 8th from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM at ZAJAC FUNERAL HOME, INC., 319-24th St., cor. Welch Ave., Niagara Falls, NY, where funeral services will take place at 9:30 AM on Saturday, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. Vincent DePaul Parish (Prince of Peace). Burial following in Holy Trinity Cemetery Lewiston, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to a charity of one's choice.
