Mae A. Hudson

WILLIAMSVILLE — Mae A. Hudson was born on December 19, 1932 to the late John Robert and Allie Mae Bennett of Glenwood, AL.

She moved to Buffalo, NY in the late '40s and that's when she decided to put herself through Cosmetology School.

In 1955 she met and married the love of her life, William Hudson. They were married on October 30, 1955. (They would have celebrated their 58th year of wedded bliss.)

Mae enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, traveling and watching anything that had to do with cowboys and Indians. Her favorite show was Bonanza and The Andy Griffith Show.

Mae departed this life on October 27, 2013, at the Elderwood Nursing Facility in Williamsville, NY. She leaves to cherish her memories a son, William B. Hudson, Jr. of Jacksonville, FL; a daughter, Eva (Knee-Cee) Carter of Niagara Falls, NY; two grandchildren, William B. Hudson III, Alethia Nicole Denise Hudson; two great-grandchildren, Kiliyah and Deejay Greggs and a devoted ex-daughter-in-law, Annette Hudson, all of Charleston, SC. Mae was predeceased by her husband, William and two sisters, Florine and Iva Nell. In addition, she leaves to mourn nine brothers and sisters: John Arthur, Lynell, John Robert, Dorothy, Gloria, James, Sylvia, Edwin and Lorraine.

Visitation, Friday 11 AM in the New Hope Baptist  Church. Funeral to follow at Noon. Burial, Niagara Falls Memorial Park. Arrangements by WILLIAMSON FUNERAL HOME, 635 Main St.
