Matilda Shadder DiNoto


Matilda Shadder DiNoto, formerly a longtime resident of Niagara Falls, died on Tuesday, April 9, 2013, at her home in Buena Park, CA. She was 91. Born in western Pennsylvania on March 15, 1922 and raised near Hazelton, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of John and Mary Shadder.
Tillie, who lived in Niagara Falls for over 60 years, always enjoyed spending time with family, keeping up with her Dobermans, playing cards, boating on the Niagara River, and reminiscing about summers with her grandchildren in Niagara Falls.
She is survived by her beloved daughter, Kathleen Moreland; three grandchildren, John Meyers, Larry Meyers, and Teresa Livingston; six great-grandchildren, Carolyn Livingston, John W. Meyers, William Meyers, Ciana Meyers, Orla Meyers, and Liam Meyers; and two great-great-grandchildren, Alyssa Klick and Leila Morejon. She is also survived by her nephew, Dennis Shears. She was predeceased by her son, Douglas Borger (1979); daughter, Maria Borger (2012); and grandson, James "Jimmy" Livingston, Jr. (2012).
Funeral arrangements will be in California at the convenience of family.
