Mary Earnestine Harris

NIAGARA FALLS — Mary Earnestine (Hudson) Harris was born May 8, 1937 in Myrtlewood, AL to the late Eli Hudson, Sr. and the late Drucilla (White) Hudson. She went home to be in the presence of her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, April 3, 2013, at the age of 75.

The beloved wife of the late Frazier L. Harris, Sr., she leaves behind two sons, Frazier Jr. (Angie) of Hinesville, GA, Derrick (Lavina) of North Tonawanda, NY; and a daughter, Kandace (Terrence) Reid of Rochester, NY.  

Mary was one of ten children, which included her brothers, the late Eli Hudson, Jr. and Frank (Pinkie) Hudson; her sisters, Ethel Mae (Lee) Rembert, the late Annie Mae Cook, Faithann Moore, Evelyn (late Riley) Hackworth, Alma Robinson, Costella (Earl) Richardson and Vivian Hudson. She also leaves behind six beloved grandchildren, Brandon, Elsa, Michael, Gabrielle, Terrence Jr. and Jasmine; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, special cousins, Corine Houston and family; a devoted "daughter", Donna Wilson; and dear friends, Shirley Barnes, Callie Crittenden and Alice Mason.

Mary was a longtime member of Trinity Baptist Church and a retired employee of Mount St. Mary's Hospital.

Relatives and friends may visit Trinity Baptist Church, 1366 South Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY 14305, on Monday, April 8, 6-8 PM. Additional visitation on Tuesday, April 9, 2013, from 11 AM to Noon and the Home Going Celebration will follow immediately. Interment will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Niagara Falls, NY.

The family would like to express sincere gratitude to the staff of Our Lady of Peace and the physicians and staff on the 6th Floor of St. Mary's Hospital for your compassion and care. Arrangements by WILLIAMSON FUNERAL HOME, 635 Main Street.
