Irene A. Wrotniak

WILLIAMSVILLE — Irene A. (Jenczewski) Wrotniak, 97 years old, of Grand Island and formerly of Lewiston, passed away on June 29, 2013, at St. Francis Home of Williamsville. She was born in Niagara Falls on October 22, 1915, the daughter of the late John and Martha (Kluga) Jenczewski.

Mrs. Wrotniak attended Holy Trinity Parochial School and graduated from Niagara Falls High School. She was a former member of the Niagara Falls Country Club and enjoyed playing bridge, bowling and golfing.

Mrs. Wrotniak is survived by her son, Chester M. (Jamie) Wrotniak of Grand Island; her granddaughter, Jennifer N. Arnold and great-grandson, Phillip Arnold. She was predeceased by her husband, Chester R. Wrotniak, who passed away on November 3, 1999; her sister, Ann Jacobs and her brothers, Ted J. Jenkins, Dr. Casey Jenczewski, Henry C. Jenkins and John Jenkins.

Friends may call on Tuesday from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM at the LABUDA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 356 Portage Road, where funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11:15 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12 Noon at Holy Family of Jesus, Mary & Joseph at Mt. Carmel, 2486 Grand Avenue, with Rev. Duane R. Klizek officiating. Interment in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Lewiston. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Francis Home of Williamsville, 147 Reist St., Williamsville, NY 14221.
