NIAGARA FALLS —
Marie (Frain) Wahler, a longtime resident of Niagara Falls, died on Monday, December 10, 2012 in Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care Residence. She was 89. She was born in Luzerne, PA, on December 6, 1923, the daughter of Joseph and Marie (Purvin) Frain.
Marie was a member of Grace Luther Church in Niagara Falls and was a longtime member of the American Legion Wheatfield Post 1451 Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed the comforts of her family, cooking and baking.
She was predeceased by her husband, Paul H. Wahler in 1988. Survivors include her seven children, Larry Wahler (Josephine) of Syracuse, Sharon Wahler of the Town of Wheatfield, Dana Wahler (Phyllis) of Kenmore, Dawn Walsh (William) of Niagara Falls, William H. Wahler of Buffalo, Lynn Wahler (Sandra) of Lockport, Lance Wahler (Joan) of Niagara Falls; nine grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Helen Boston; and brothers, Joseph, Carl, John and Thomas Frain.
Friends may call on Thursday from 4-7 PM in the LANE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 8622 Buffalo Avenue, Niagara Falls. Funeral services on Friday at 11 AM in Grace Lutheran Church, 736 Cayuga Drive., Niagara Falls. Interment will be private in Elmlawn Cemetery, Town of Tonawanda, NY.
