William E. Gallen


William E. Gallen, 70, of the Niagara Towers, passed away suddenly on Friday, November 9, 2012 in his home . He has been a Niagara Falls resident since 2003. He was born in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada on March 24, 1942 to the late Margaret (nee Boyle) Baillie and the late Ralph Gallen.
For several years, William was employed by the City of Kitchner Ontario as a City Bus Driver. He also drove buses for the City of Key West Florida. In his spare time, he enjoyed working crossword puzzles and keeping up on current events.
He is survived by his former wife, Nancy E. (nee Guifoyle) Gallen of Niagara Falls, NY; a daughter, Kelly (Corey Koonce) Gallen of Slidell, LA; a granddaughter, Kaley Green; two sisters, Helen Krawczyk of Niagara Falls, NY and Maryl (Trent) Gavazzi of Grand Island, NY; niece, Peggy Krawczyk; and several other nieces and nephews.
Mr. Gallen was predeceased by his parents, and two siblings, the late Ralph Gallen and the late Lily Mae Gallen.
No prior visitation. Family and friends are invited to a Memorial Service on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at 3:00 PM at the SPALLINO-AMIGONE FUNERAL HOME, 1300 Pine Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY. Burial will be in Pleasantview Memorial Park Fonthill, Ontario. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mr. Gallen's. memory to Niagara Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, 822 Cedar Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY 14301.
