Shirley M. Brown

NIAGARA FALLS — Shirley M. Brown, 77, of the Niagara Towers, formerly of 9th Street, Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully Tuesday, April 9, 2013 in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center, after a brief illness. She was born in St. Catharines, Ontario on April 29, 1935 to the late Elizabeth (nee Drummond) and Charles Brown.

A St. Catharines native, she received her education from the St. Catharines and Niagara on the Lake School Systems. Miss Brown came to Niagara Falls in 1963 and began working as a        licensed practical nurse for Mount St. Mary's Hospital in Lewiston until her retirement in 1985.

Following her retirement she also worked for the Center for Joy on Michigan Avenue. She was a member of Our Lady of Lebanon Church. Her pastimes included sewing and reading.

Shirley is survived by many dear friends, especially Rev. William C. O'Brien, CM.

Friends may call Friday from 12-1:30 PM at the SPALLINO-AMIGONE FUNERAL HOME, 1300 Pine Avenue, Niagara Falls, where prayers will be said at 1:30 PM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at St. Mary of the Cataract Church, 259 Fourth St., Niagara Falls, at 2 PM. Interment will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.
