Annie Mae Moore

NIAGARA FALLS — Annie Mae Moore, 75, of Niagara Falls, NY, slipped away into a quiet rest after a long illness on Monday night, April 8, 2013, surrounded by her loving family. Annie was born April 27, 1937 in Forkland, AL to the late Johnny and Omealia Moore. While growing up in Alabama, she was a member of Birdine AME Zion Church. She moved away to Canton, OH at a young age, then to Niagara Falls in 1954, where she had been a loyal member of Mount Erie Baptist Church for over 50 years.

Annie leaves to cherish her memory, her loving companion, Paul Groomes; six children, Darlene Moore, Paula Moore, Reginald (Nicola) Moore, Terry Moore, Constance Moore and Remonia Moore, all of Niagara Falls, NY; six sisters, Alma James, Maggie Price, Sallie Brown, Mariah (Grady) Johnson, Dorothy Moore and Ida Moore of Niagara Falls, NY; one brother, Willie (Sharon) Moore of Demopolis, AL; 25 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren; and many special nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by one son, Gregory Moore of Niagara Falls, NY; three brothers, Robert Moore, Peter Moore and Isaac Moore, all of     Cleveland, OH; and one sister, Lena James of Demopolis, AL.

Family and friends may call on Sunday, April 14, 2013, from 5 to 7 PM at Mount Erie Baptist Church, 1152 Fairfield Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY, where funeral services will also be held Monday, April 15, 2013, at 11 AM. Burial to follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Arrangements are    entrusted to WILLIAMSON FUNERAL HOME, 635 Main St., Niagara Falls, NY.
