NIAGARA FALLS —
Herbert John Luffman, age 66, of Niagara Falls, entered into rest suddenly on April 6, 2013, from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident in Wheatfield. Born in Niagara Falls, NY on July 15, 1946, he was the son of the late William and Dorrine (Knox) Luffman. John was a graduate of Erie Community College, earning an associate's degree in drafting. He was a United States Army veteran, serving from 1964-1967. John was a member of the VFW in Niagara Falls and enjoyed bike riding and going for walks. He was employed as a carpenter with Local 289 in Niagara Falls, until his retirement.
Survivors include a son, John W. Luffman of Niagara Falls; a sister, Marjorie J. (Carmen) Granto of Niagara Falls; his former wife, Beverly (Dier) Luffman; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a daughter, Jennifer Luffman; sister, Janet P. Wodo and brother, Ronald J. Luffman.
Friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Friday, April 12 at 7:00 PM in the DUBOIS FUNERAL HOME, 2436 Niagara Road, (Bergholz) in Wheatfield, with the Rev. Michael A. Keicher officiating. A private interment will take place in Niagara Falls Memorial Park, Town of Lewiston.
