Marilyn J. Fitzsimmons

NIAGARA FALLS — Marilyn J. (Winker) Fitzsimmons, lifetime resident of Niagara Falls, passed away on           Saturday, April 6, 2013, at Schoellkopf Health Care Facility. She was 82. She was born in Niagara Falls on September 3, 1930, a daughter of the late Edwin and Eva (Calvert) Winker. She attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School in 1948.

Mrs. Fitzsimmons worked as a secretary at Hooker Chemical until her retirement in 1985. She enjoyed reading presidential biographies, playing euchre and doing crossword puzzles.

She is survived by her daughter, Donna (late George) Crawley; her special cousin, Lois Rainer Weinberg; and nieces, Linda Hardy, Wendy Brown, Jerri Carlisle and Vandy Palazzo. She was predeceased by her infant son, Christopher Daniel Fitzsimmons (1950); daughter, Lynn Alethea Fitzsimmons (2011); and her brother, Jimmie Winker (1989).

Friends may call at the LANE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 8622 Buffalo Ave., on Wednesday from 4-8 PM, where funeral services will be held at 8 PM.  Burial will be at the convenience of the   family in Niagara Falls Memorial Park Cemetery in Lewiston. If desired, memorial contributions may be made in Marilyn's name to Schoellkopf Health Care Center, 621-10th Street, Niagara Falls, NY 14301; or Niagara Hospice House, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094.
