NIAGARA FALLS — Timothy W. Barteck, a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, died on Thursday, March  27, 2014, at home. He was 51. He was born in Niagara Falls on Christmas Day 1962, the son of William F. and Vera M. (Moore) Barteck of Niagara Falls. Tim attended local schools and was a graduate of the former LaSalle Senior High School, Class of 1981.

Tim had a fondness for animals, which he turned into a career of dog grooming. He worked for Lou's Clip Joint on Pasadena Avenue in LaSalle and later took over the business and relocated to 19th Street. An active outdoorsman, Tim enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, rides on his Harley and picnicking with his family and friends. He also was an avid sports fan and enjoyed playing football in high school.

In addition to his mother and father, Tim is survived by three children, Amy, Sarah and         Edward Barteck, all of Niagara Falls; two brothers, Donald (Eileen) and Michael (Lisa) Barteck, both of Rochester; his sister, Kim Lagomaggiore (John) of Niagara Falls; a granddaughter, Venessa De Angelo; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends and family may call Sunday from 3-7 PM in the LANE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 8622 Buffalo Avenue, Niagara Falls, where services will be held at 7 PM. The interment will be private in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Memorials, if desired, may be made to the Niagara County SPCA or to the American Diabetes Association.
