Arlene T. Adamo


Arlene T. (DeLorenzo) Adamo, 72, of the Town of Niagara, died on Thursday, March 27, 2014 at her residence under the care of Niagara Hospice. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Vincent and Argentine (Nanea) DeLorenzo.
Arlene was a lifelong resident of the Niagara Falls area and attended local schools. She was employed as a teller at the former Marine Midland Bank and later as a bookkeeper at Commercial Painting and Kimmins Environmental Service Corp., all located in Niagara Falls, NY. Arlene was a member of the Power City Lodge 158 in Niagara Falls. Her favorite pastimes were crocheting, knitting, Square and Ballroom dancing, but most of all, Arlene enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.
Arlene is survived by her husband, Tullio Adamo; three children, Felicia (Steven) Heinz, Gail (Gregg) Schurr, both of Niagara Falls, NY and John (Courtney) Adamo of Lockport, NY; five grandchildren, Erika Ewert, Jessica Schurr, Allison Ewert, Gianna Adamo and Matalyn Adamo; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by two brothers, Vincent (Joyce of Niagara Falls, NY) DeLorenzo and baby John DeLorenzo.
Visitation will be on Sunday from 1-3 PM and 6-8 PM at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY, where funeral services will begin on Monday, March 31st at 10:30 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM at St. Vincent de Paul at St. Leo's Church, 2748 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY with Rev. Robert Stolinski officiating. Entombment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY. Memorial donations may be made to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094.
