VALRICO, FL —  

Stanley M. "Skip" Kurek, Jr., passed away peacefully on November 10, 2012 in Valrico, FL, where he resided for the last 25 years.
He is survived by his wife, Cathy (Davis); three children, Annette (Mark) Parrini, Carie (Roger) Hall and Michael; mother, Valerie C. Kurek; brother, Ronald (Joanne) Kurek; and sister, Maureen (Martin) Paonessa, all of Niagara Falls, NY; several nieces and nephews.
Skip was a member of St. Stephen's Roman Catholic Church where he was an usher and also a member of the Knights of Columbus. He attended local schools and received his MBA at the University at Buffalo, NY. He served in the National Army Reserves.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held on December 22, 2012 at St. Stephen's Church in Valrico, FL. Burial will be held at Sarasota National Cemetery. Donations may be made to American Cancer Society.
