NIAGARA FALLS —
Luther Wilson, Jr., of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on Saturday, December 29, 2012, in Mt. St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston, NY. He was born in Powhaten, AL, on November 14, 1924, a son of the late Luther and Lelia Wilson, Sr.
Mr. Wilson served with the US Army, during World War II, after the war he moved to Niagara Falls in 1946. He was a crane operator with SKW Alloy for many years, before retiring. Mr. Wilson enjoyed gardening and doing landscaping for others.
He was the husband of the late Janie "Irene" Wilson, who died in December of 2008; and was the brother of the late Lee, Ernest and Edward Wilson, Lillie Fisher, Esther Long, Alice Hill and Willie Bell. Mr. Wilson is survived by his best friend and nephew, Willie F. Kay; a brother-in-law, Amos Sanders; two dear friends, Landonia Bailey and Mr. King; also many nieces and nephews.
The family will be present on Friday, from 10-11 AM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 1124 Ontario Avenue, NIAGARA FALLS, NY, where funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, with Bishop Joseph Brinson officiating. Interment with Military Honors at Niagara Falls Memorial Park, Lewiston, NY.
