Laura Virginia Boyd, 57, of Niagara Falls, passed away April 6, 2014 in Buffalo General Hospital. Born February 20, 1957 in Bradenton, FL, the daughter of the late Margaret and Rufus Boyd.
Laura grew up in Lockport, NY and was a graduate of Wilson High School. She received her degree in drug counseling from Erie Co. Community College. Her most recent employment was with Opportunities Unlimited.
Laura enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was a #1 Buffalo Bills fan and enjoyed playing softball in her younger years. She was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church and enjoyed singing in the choir.
Surviving is one daughter, Reanden Lewis Finklea; three grandchildren, Olessieo Jr., Jaquez and Savasia Jackson; three sisters, Anthionnette Harrell, Marjorgie and Janice Boyd; two brothers, Rufus (Beverely) Boyd and Johnnie Boyd, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation Thursday 11 AM in the Trinity Baptist Church, 1366 South Ave. Funeral to follow at Noon. Burial at the convenience of the family. Arrangements by WILLIAMSON FUNERAL HOME, 635 Main Street.
