NIAGARA FALLS —
RoseMarie (Quarcini) Kupfer, 76, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away after a brief illness on Wednesday, December 25, 2013 at Roswell Park Cancer Institute in Buffalo, NY. Born and educated in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Caroline (Calantina) Quarcini.
On October 6, 1956, she married William J. Kupfer in Our Lady of Lebanon Church in Niagara Falls, NY. Mr. Kupfer predeceased her on February 24, 1992. RoseMarie worked at Goodyear in Niagara Falls, NY as manager and treasurer of the credit union, and later as a secretary in the purchasing department; retiring in the spring of 1998 after 19 years of service. She was also proud of her over twenty years involvement with the Credit Union Association of New York (CUANY) - Niagara Chapter, where she served as secretary and treasurer, and could be counted on for her dedication in organizing and running many of their events. In her leisure she enjoyed baking and canning. Most importantly, RoseMarie was a devoted mother and "Nani", and her motto of "stay focused" will always be a guiding lesson for them.
Mrs Kupfer is survived by her two children, Donna (Ronald) Parent of Youngstown, NY, and William J. Kupfer, Jr. (fiance'e MaryLynn Conta) of Buffalo, NY. She was the Nani of grandchildren, Kristina (Martin) Schilling, Gina Kupfer, Noelle (Brockton) Selkow, Dayna (Andrew) Morse, Danielle Parent, and Marc Parent; and great-grandchildren, Mia Bella Schilling, and Maddox Wheeler Selkow. RoseMarie is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. She was predeceased by her eight siblings, Sam (Joyce of Wheatfield, NY) Quarcini, Theresa Quarcini, Josephine (late Paul) Romanoff, Pauline Murphy, Michael A. "Butch" (Julia of Niagara Falls, NY) Quarcini, Joseph (late Dorothy) Quarcini, Larry Quarcini, and Carol (late Roger) Hedlund.
Visitation will be on Sunday and on Monday from 3-8 PM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY, where prayers will be held on Tuesday, December 31st at 9:00 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. Bernard Church, 218 Hinman St., Youngstown, NY with Rev. Msgr. J. Thomas Moran, officiating. Entombment in St. Joseph Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY. Flowers are gratefully declined.
