NIAGARA FALLS —
Carmella (Cicciari) Lutey, a longtime resident of Niagara Falls, died on Friday, December 27, 2013 in Northgate Manor Health Care Facility. She was 84. She was born in Niagara Falls, NY on June 30, 1929, the daughter of the late Natale and (Petrina) Cicciari. She attended local schools, including Niagara Falls High School.
Mrs. Lutey was a longtime member of Holy Family Parish of Jesus, Mary and Joseph, at St. Joseph's. She was an active member its Madonna Del Perpetuo Soccorso group. She loved to cook, bake, crochet and play bingo. Life centered around family, cherishing moments spent with her children and grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband of 62 years, William E. Lutey, Sr. Survivors include three children, Patricia Anello (Daniel Zymroz) Doreen (Charles) Wright, Jr. and William (Cheryl) Lutey, Jr; grandchildren, Salvatore (Heather) Anello, Jr., Brandi Anello, Phillip Anello, William Lutey III; Cassandra Lutey, Lauren Lutey, Tina (Kevin) Gracey, Terry (Lisa) E. Wellsby, Jr., Lana Wellsby and Charles Wright III; her great-grandchildren, Hayden, Dylan, Alexis; Phillip, Jr., Shawn, Brianna, Elleysia, Kevin, Gabriella, William III, Kaitlyn, Terry III; and several nieces and nephews with special thanks to her nieces and nephews, MaryRose (Joseph) Archie and Christine (Robert) Harris, Charles (Linda) Marazzo and Natale (Darla) Marazzo. She was predeceased by her siblings, Anthony (Florence) Cicciari, Frank (Eleanor) Cicciari, Margaret (Frank) Marazzo, Mary (Thomas) Lorek and Salvatore Cicciari.
The family will be present on Monday, December 30th from 3-8 PM in the LANE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 8622 Buffalo Avenue, Niagara Falls. Prayers will be said on Tuesday, December 31st at 9:15 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in Holy Family Parish of Jesus, Mary and Joseph, 1413 Pine Avenue. Interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Niagara Falls. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her honor may be made to the Activities Fund at Northgate Manor Nursing Home.
