Florence D. Nichele


Florence D. (Conny) Nichele, 88, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on Saturday, April 13, 2013 surrounded by her loving family at Niagara Hospice House in Lockport, NY. Born in Niagara Falls, NY she was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Caroline (Constantino) Conny.
Florence attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School. She worked as a secretary at the former Cataract Amusement in Niagara Falls for over 40 years. She later worked as a front desk clerk at Caravan Motel in Niagara Falls for seventeen years. Florence had been a member and secretary of the Parent Education Group at the former Cleveland Avenue Elementary School in Niagara Falls, NY. She enjoyed needlepoint and will be remembered for her excellent cooking skills.
Mrs. Nichele is survived by three children, Patricia L. (Paul) Brush of Grand Island, NY, Gino (Donna) Nichele and Gene Anthony "Tony" Nichele (Janine) Nichele, both of Youngstown, NY; nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her former husband, Gino Nichele. Florence was predeceased by two brothers, Daniel (late Mona) Conny and Frank Conny; and two sisters, Josephine (Nicholas of Niagara Falls, NY) Sesto, and Theresa (George of Town of Niagara, NY) Collins.
The family wishes to extend their appreciation and gratitude to the staff of Niagara Hospice for the care and comfort extended to Florence.
Visitation will be on Monday from 4-8 PM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 16th at 10:00 AM at Holy Family of Jesus, Mary, and Joseph Parish at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 27th St. and Independence Ave., Niagara Falls, NY with Rev. Duane R. Klizek officiating. EVERYONE PLEASE ASSEMBLE AT CHURCH. Interment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.
