NIAGARA FALLS —
Robert Bradberry (affectionately known as Bobby Brad by family and friends), age 67, entered into eternal rest peacefully at his home on Thursday, November 1, 2012. He was born on June 5, 1945 in Niagara Falls, New York to the late James C. and Ella Fair (Herbert) Bradberry.
Bobby Brad attended local schools and entered the U.S. Navy in 1963 and was honorably discharged in 1966. He went on to work at Washington Mills formally known as Carborundum for 32 years. He retired in September of 1994. He was a very passionate photographer and an avid family man. He enjoyed sports, gardening, cleaning,home improvements, and car detailing. He was most recently active in his Vietnam Veteran Support groups.
He leaves to cherish his sweet memory, his wife of 40 years, Janice (Harris) Bradberry; two sons, Darren, Sr. and Cortez, Sr. (Kimberly); and one daughter, Ebone, all of Niagara Falls, NY; five grandsons, Darren, Jr. of Niagara Falls, NY, Stephon, of Euless, TX, Tyreek McNaughton, Cortez (CJ), Jr. of Niagara Falls, NY, and Elijah Boyd, of Niagara Falls, ON; two granddaughters, Miracle and Aniyah Madison of Niagara Falls, NY; five brothers, James C. (Priscilla) Bradberry of Dansville, IL, Roy (Josephine) Bradberry of Ocala, FL, Jimmy (Juanita) Bradberry, Thomas (Brenda), and Willie Paul (Audrey) Bradberry of Niagara Falls, NY; three sisters, Mary (James) Alexander, Madeline (Thomas) Washington, and Vivian (William) Simmons; one God-Sister, Murlene Smith, all of Niagara Falls, NY. He also leaves aunts, uncles, as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by one brother, Willie Bradberry; and his son, Antoine "Chip" Bradberry.
Visitation will be on Thursday from 6-8 PM at St. John's AME Church, 917 Garden Ave. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 12 noon at the church. Burial in Riverdale Cemetery, Lewiston, NY. Arrangements by Williamson Funeral Home, 635 Main Street.
