Patty A. Hnatyszyn

NIAGARA FALLS — Patty A. (Merrell) Hnatyszyn, 66, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away Thursday, January 9, 2014. Born June 3, 1947 in Philipsburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Ollie (Bush)  Merrell and attended schools there. Patty was employed by the Alox Corporation as a secretary. She enjoyed spending time with her second family at "My Place" where last call is down the street.

She is survived by her husband, Walter Hnatyszyn; her children, Terri (Jeff) Cafarella, Shari (Thomas "Big T") Spina and Stacey Schryver, Walter "Walt" Schryver, Jason Schryver; her grandchildren, Kasandra, TJ (Brittany Smith), Briana, Anthony and Derek; her siblings, Connie (Jimbo) Davidson, Robert (Betty Mae) Merrell and Larry (Belinda) Merrell; also several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers, Wallace and Charles.

At Patty's request, her body was donated to the University at Buffalo Anatomical Dept. Burial and private memorial services will take place at the convenience of the family. Donations in her  memory may be made to Roswell Park Alliance Foundation, P.O. Box 631, Buffalo, NY 14240-0631. Arrangements entrusted to ZAJAC FUNERAL HOME INC.
