Eugene C. Gates

NIAGARA FALLS — Eugene C. Gates of Niagara Falls passed away unexpectedly on January 6, 2014, at his home.  Eugene was born to parents, James Gates, Sr. (predeceased) and Elizabeth (Sims) Gates on  August 29, 1950 in Castleberry, AL.

Eugene, a graduate of Trott Vocational High School, was a dependable, dedicated and loyal     employee of Pizza Logs in Niagara Falls for over 20 years, but his most rewarding position in life was that of a father, son, brother and friend.

He was a kindhearted, loving, understanding person who was loved by all. Most of all he was proud of the birth and life of his three children, Felicia, Eugene and Bernice Gates, and his five grandchildren.

He will be forever remembered by his mother, Elizabeth Gates; children; siblings, Edward, George and Brenda Manual, Mary Sanders, James, Gloria, Bobby, John and David Gates, Debra (Michael) Crews, Camilla (Robert) Moore; grandchildren, Caleb and Noah Barclay-Gates, Isaiah Sistrunk Gates, Brandon & Jaydon Eddington-Gates, and a host of other relatives and friends. Eugene was predeceased by siblings, Pat Manual, Diane Gates and Joseph Murphy.

Family will receive friends 11 AM Monday in the WILLIAMSON FUNERAL HOME, 635 Main St. Memorial service to follow at Noon.
