Night & Day — A special holiday event and regional premiere starring Broadway actors Jeffry Denman and Marc Kudisch, will be presented by MusicalFare Theatre beginning tonight.

The show, called “The Holiday Guys in Happy Merry Manu-mas!” will feature Denman, nominated for the Drama Desk, winner of the Astaire Award,  two time winner of the IRNE and the Lucille Lortel Award, and Kudisch, a three-time Tony Award Nominee, three-time Drama Desk Nominee and two-time Outer Critics Circle Award Nominee.

The show is a reprisal of a 2009 holiday production, when Denman and Kudisch teamed up to create “The Holiday Guys,” an evening of holiday flavored, comedy-song-and-dance. One man (Denman) celebrated Christmas while the other (Kudisch) celebrated Hanukkah. The New Jersey Star Ledger critic wrote:  “Bless you, Holiday Guys Jeffry Denman and Marc Kudisch…for providing us with a warm and winning (holiday) show ...”

“The Holiday Guys” debuted in 2009 at the Gotham Comedy Club and subsequently played as part of Neil Berg’s Broadway Holiday at the Geffen Playhouse in Los Angeles. The production was performed at MusicalFare Theatre in 2011. The 2012 re-tooled incarnation will mark its true regional premiere.

Following the MusicalFare production, the show will move to the Tony Award-winning Signature Theatre in Arlington, VA from Dec. 11-16 and then to Off-Broadway’s prestigious York Theatre from Dec. 18-31.

Denman, a Kenmore native and graduate of the University of Buffalo and St. Joseph’s Collegiate Institute, has been nominated for the Drama Desk, Astaire Award, IRNE (two time winner) and the Lucille Lortel Award. He has appeared in the original casts of the Broadway companies of “White Christmas,” “The Producers” and “Cats.”  Denman is also a published author, a playwright and a member of the Dramatist’s Guild. His first book “A Year with the Producers” was published in 2002. He has written the book to two musicals: “Dancing in the Dark” which won an Artie Award for Best Musical, and “Change Parnters.”

Kudisch, a three time Tony Award Nominee, four-time Drama Desk Nominee and two-time Outer Critics Circle Award Nominee, has Broadway credits include “9 To 5,” “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang,” “The Apple Tree,” and “Thoroughly Modern Millie,” among an extensive list.

The show opens at 7 p.m. tonight and continues at 8 p.m. Friday, 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday. Ticket prices are $39 for all performances. Student tickets are available for $20.
