Niagara Gazette — There will be a petting zoo, pony rides and a bounce house at the “Pigapalooza,” a annual free community event that takes place on the church grounds from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the Ransomville Free Methodist Church at 3924 Ransomville Road.

A variety of organizations will also be present at the event including wildlife rehabbers Wild Kritters of Niagara, the Primate Sanctuary, The Bow Hunters Association, the Corvette car club Cataract Cruisers, Co Co the Clown, and Dave Jeffers Magic.

Entertainment will include Nels Ross of Injest, a comedian, stunt man and juggler. There will also be hay rides and face painting and live music.

Free food will be provided by Favorites pizza, Destinos Pizza, and there will be pulled pork sandwiches, hot dogs, cold drinks, popcorn, cookies and coffee provided by the Orange Cat and Tim Hortons.

This is a totally free event but donation jars will be at the registration table and food table to help offset the cost of the event. There will also be a UNYTS blood drive and a collection for the food bank of WNY.

The event will end at 8 p.m. with a full fireworks display paid for by local businesses including CWM, Kipo Chevy, Bank of Niagara, and Hardison Funeral Home.
