JENNINGS: Rihanna, Big Leg Emma warm up winter concert scene

(Continued)

Niagara Gazette — The band has quite an interesting history, and in spite of the name, they were not organically created, the band was manufactured by two major record producers based in Los Angeles. They have had over 50 members since 1965.

On Sunday, Pavlo, the “Greek God of the Guitar” will be at The Tralf on Main Street in Buffalo. The Mediterranean style instrumentalist has nine albums to his credit including “Trifecta” a collaboration with Oscar Lopez and former Triumph guitarist Rik Emmett. If you like flamenco style guitar you will love Pavlo.

If you are really feeling adventurous you can make the trip to Toronto to see Pink. She is appearing at the Air Canada Centre. Last year’s “The Truth About Love” is one of my favorite albums of 2012. If you can afford the tickets she is worth the trip.

Next week look for an exclusive interview with Jewel, who is coming the area on March 16.

Thom Jennings covers the local music scene for Night and Day.
