Everlast filling in for Puddle of Mudd at Lockport Canal Concert Series

Niagara Gazette — Former House of Pain front-man and solo artist Everlast will fill the void in the Labatt Canal Concert Series.

Organizers announced on Wednesday that Erik Schrody, who goes by the stage name Everlast, will headline the final concert of the season on Aug. 23.

The make-up show was mad necessary when Puddle of Mudd front-man Wes Scantlin was missing in action the day before the series opener was set to play. Scantlin also missed a show in Rochester the day before the Lockport concert was scheduled for.

Opening acts for the makeup concert have not yet been announced, according to Cardonia Media Group, the firm handling the public relations for the concert series.

Everlast's biggest claim to fame was the 1998 song, "What It's Like." His last album was released in 2011, but he is releasing a new one on Aug. 27, just four days after the Lockport show, according to his website.
