The Greater Niagara Ballet Company will participate in the second “Sugarplum Fairy Breakfast,.” a fundraiser for both the company and the United Way of Greater Niagara, will be held on Saturday, Nov. 10, at the new Niagara Falls Culinary Institute at 28 Old Falls St. It begins at 10 a.m.
Tickets for the breakfast are $15 per child, $20 per adult, or $45 for two children and one adult. All children in attendance will receive a Barbie doll, breakfast, the opportunity to dance with GNBC ballerinas, and enter to win a special Holiday Barbie doll.

The Greater Niagara Ballet Co. recently cast lead roles for “The Nutcracker,” its annual holiday production. Sophia Currie, 12, of Lewiston, and Tatum McLean, 12, of Niagara Falls, Ontario, will split time as Clara when the KeyBank-sponsored show commences Dec. 7 and 8 at the Niagara Falls High School Performing Arts Center.
The GNBC is a not-for-profit dance company dedicated to providing local dancers the opportunity to develop their talents in a professional theatrical setting; work with professional dancers from all parts of the world; build an understanding and appreciation of the ballet arts through ongoing educational workshops and performances; and participate in dance projects that establish the Niagara region as a high-quality ballet center.
GNBC productions are open to all ballet students by audition.
