JENNINGS: One of two Queensrÿche's in town this weekend

Niagara Gazette — This is hardly the first time that two bands have toured with the same name, Asia, Bad Company, Great White and L.A Guns all had two different lineups until issues were sorted out in court.

Tickets for the Todd La Torre Queensrÿche lineup are $34 in advance, and $39 day of show. Call the Riviera Box office at 692-2413 for ticket availability.

On Saturday, Paul Anka will be at the Seneca Niagara Events Center for a sold-out show. Anka is a multi-talented singer, songwriter and actor. My favorite Anka song is the timeless classic “Put Your Head on My Shoulder.” He also wrote the theme to “The Tonight Show starring Johnny Carson” and the lyrics to Frank Sinatra’s “My Way.”

For the show on a tank of gas, save the gas and the cover charge and head over to the Hard Rock in Niagara Falls on Friday night and catch Bruce Wojick and the Struggle, who are appearing as part of the free music Friday’s at The Hard Rock. Ask Bruce to play your favorite Quill song!

Thom Jennings covers the local music scene for Night and Day.
