Get a jump on Easter this weekend with NYPA

Niagara Gazette — The New York Power Authority (NYPA) will celebrate the season at its annual Spring Eggstravaganza from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at its Niagara Hydroelectric Power Plant’s admission-free visitors center, the Power Vista.

Activities include free photos with the bunny from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. plus crafts, face-painting and a scavenger hunt throughout the day. Boy Scout Troop #855 of Lewiston will be selling hot dogs during the event.

Free rides on the Niagara Scenic Trolley between the Power Vista and the Gorge Discovery Center will be available during the event compliments of the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation.

Guests are also invited to enjoy the Power Vista’s attractions, which include displays and interactive exhibits relating to the production of electricity, energy efficiency and the region’s history, while surrounded by spectacular views from the observation deck 350 feet above the Niagara River Gorge. Parking and admission is always free at the Power Vista, located at 5777 Lewiston Road, Lewiston.
