BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) — Doctors in Buffalo are sounding a warning about a candy-like air freshener after three children ended up in the emergency room after ingesting it.
The “Fruit Bomb” air freshener is sold in a package with cartoon characters on it.
Dee Hafi of Buffalo says her 8- and 9-year-old daughters bought it, thinking it was candy, and ate some.
Hafi and her daughters are expected to appear with doctors at Women & Children’s Hospital Friday as the hospital launches a campaign to warn the public about this product and others that can be confused with food.
