BUFFALO — He’s responsible for the Buffalo Sabres having Maxim Afinogenov, Chris Drury, Ryan Miller and Tim Connolly in the lineup. But things haven’t come easy for Darcy Regier, who’s held the title of general manager longer than any person in the franchise’s history.
As the Sabres prepare for their first playoff run in four seasons, Regier talked with us about the challenges of managing a small-market franchise, his most difficult move as GM and the relationship he’s fostered with coach Lindy Ruff.
