Lockport man rescues golf clubs from burning vehicle

A Minnick Road man told police he was driving down Rapids Road in the Town of Lockport about 6:30 p.m. Sunday when his vehicle began to fill up with smoke.

The man pulled over, ran out of the vehicle and saw flames at the bottom of the vehicle, near the gas tank.

Before running a safe distance away, the man said he opened the trunk and grabbed his golf clubs.

Rapids Volunteer Fire Co. responded and put out the fire, which appeared to have started near the top of the gas tank.

Do you think cigarette sales to non-Native American customers should be taxed on reservations?

Yes. Items should be taxed like they are everywhere else.
No, the indian reservations are sovereign land and they are selling them on their land.
Not up to me. Native Americans decide the rules on their land.
Don't care. Smoking isn't good for you.
