Starved puppy found abandoned Sunday has died

Jonah, the emaciated puppy found abandoned with two other dogs in the Falls on Sunday, has died. SPCA officials report that he died late Wednesday night while being treated at Central Park Animal Hospital. The SPCA of Niagara and Falls police are now turning their energies to finding the puppy's owner and making sure he is held responsible.

According to the SPCA:

Jonah was extremely emaciated and lacked the energy to lift his tiny head when NFPD and an agent from the Niagara County SPCA found him. He was brought to the SPCA for immediate medical treatment. By early Tuesday morning it was evident that his condition had worsened. The Niagara County SPCA  transfered him to a Veterinary clinic where he was fed through a feeding tube and given supplements to help gain his energy back. Jonah's tiny body had begun to shut down even before NFPD and the SPCA found him Sunday morning. Unfortunately, that damage could not be reversed.

We now turn our energies to finding Jonah's owner and making sure he is held responsible for the neglect and abandonment of Jonah, Nellie and Dorian, as they have been named by shelter employees.

The Niagara County SPCA and NFPD await a warrant to be issued for the arrest of the owner.  The owner faces three counts of animal cruelty.

Yes. Items should be taxed like they are everywhere else.
No, the indian reservations are sovereign land and they are selling them on their land.
Not up to me. Native Americans decide the rules on their land.
Don't care. Smoking isn't good for you.
