Building supply business burglarized in Lockport

The owner of Akron Building Suppy on Akron Road reported Saturday that sometime since Aug. 10 someone had entered the building and taken several items.

Niagara County Sheriff's deputies said it appeared someone forced open a door in the bay area of the business with a crowbar. Once inside, the suspects dumped out garbage cans and filled them with copper and brass fittings. A space heater was also missing.

The owner also said several bottles of alcohol were moved from an office cabinet.

The owner said the main gate to the property was secured but deputies found a secondary gate unsecured and easily accessible.

The sheriff's ID unit was sent out to the business to process the scene.

The estimated loss is about $2,200.

Yes. Items should be taxed like they are everywhere else.
No, the indian reservations are sovereign land and they are selling them on their land.
Not up to me. Native Americans decide the rules on their land.
