Niagara Gazette — Two bartenders were charged during a multi-agency underage alcohol enforcement detail around Niagara County on Thursday.
The detail had undercover, underage operatives checking 18 local bars' compliance with laws banning the serving of alcohol beverages to persons younger than 21 years old.
After serving the minors, employees of two bars were charged with two misdemeanors each, first-degree unlawfully dealing with a child and prohibited sales. They are:
• Maureen M. Thompson, 48, of Middleport, an employee of Pony's Irish Pub in the village. Thompson received tickets to appear in Royalton Town Court on Sept. 19.
• Leslie J. Tarczynski, 49, of Youngstown, an employee of Brennan's Irish Pub in the village. Tarczynski received tickets to appear in Porter Town Court on Sept. 10.
The compliance detail was run jointly by the Niagara County Sheriff's Office, New York State Police and the State Liquor Authority.
