Falls man shot during robbery attempt

Police are investigating an assault in the 900 block of North Avenue.

A 34-year-old man told officers he was walking across the train tracks from Grove Avenue when he was approached by two men. One of the suspects told the victim to "give me what you got" and then the victim began to "wrestle" with the suspects.

One the suspects pulled out a small, dark-colored revolver and pointed it toward the ground, but in the direction of the victim. The suspect fired the gun twice and the victim said he felt pain in the shin and calf of both his legs.

At the same time, the second suspect pulled out what appeared to be a cut-down semi-automatic rifle but did not fire the weapon. After the shots were fired, the suspects ran from the area.

The victim suffered a grazing wound to his left leg and an entrance wound to his right leg.

Do you think cigarette sales to non-Native American customers should be taxed on reservations?

Yes. Items should be taxed like they are everywhere else.
No, the indian reservations are sovereign land and they are selling them on their land.
Not up to me. Native Americans decide the rules on their land.
Don't care. Smoking isn't good for you.
