Falls police tried to help a 22-year-old Ransomville woman who told them she was assaulted trying to obtain drugs Sunday night.

Officers were called to the 500 block of Seventh Street about 7 p.m. Sunday for a young woman that appeared to have been assaulted. Officers located her clutching her stomach in apparent pain as she walked down the street.

She initially asked for medical attention and an ambulance was called to the scene. Officers also said she was initially uncooperative and would not say what happened but eventually told them that she was at a house in the 400 block of Sixth Street attempting to buy pills.

She said she had never bought pills from that house and didn't bring any money with her. At some point, a man in the house began to demand money for her pills. She said he then threw her to the ground and kneed her in the stomach several times and told her to leave.

She refused to tell police any more about the house or the man and asked if she was under arrest. When an officer told her she was not, the woman said she was leaving and refused any help, would not wait for the ambulance to arrive and walked off.
