Fatal shooting investigated in the Falls

NIAGARA FALLS —

A Falls man died Sunday morning after being shot outside his home early Sunday morning on the 1300 block of Ashland Avenue.

Police were called to the area about 4:52 a.m. and found Joseph Medley Sr., 37, laying on the the ground in front of his home. He had suffered a gunshot wound to his upper body and was pronounced dead at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center a short time later.

Detectives were investigating the matter Sunday morning and had no further information on a motive or suspects.

Detectives are looking for information from the public, though, anyone with information is asked to call Niagara Falls detectives at 286-4553.
