Neighbor comes to aid of toddler on roof

Niagara Gazette — Niagara Falls police and firefighters are crediting a city resident with saving his neighbor’s child.

Antwan Moore was standing outside his 20th Street house when he noticed the 18-month-old child on the roof of a home across the street. The child had apparently climbed out an open second-floor window. Moore climbed up the porch posts to get to the child while his girlfriend called 911 just before 10 a.m. Thursday.

“He is the true hero in this situation. He made our job very easy,” Niagara Falls Fire Capt. Gary Carella told News Channel 4. “He secured the child, kept him safe, and did all things that you could ask a neighbor to do.”

Inside the house, police found the boy’s 4-year-old sister and the children’s father, 26-year-old Johnathan David Fuhrman. Fuhrman was asleep on the couch, and unresponsive. When police awoke him, Fuhrman said he’d been watching TV with his children and fell asleep. The children’s mother was at work at the time, police said.

Fuhrman was charged with endangering the welfare of a child, according to Channel 4.

Yes. Items should be taxed like they are everywhere else.
No, the indian reservations are sovereign land and they are selling them on their land.
Not up to me. Native Americans decide the rules on their land.
Don't care. Smoking isn't good for you.
