Motorcyclist killed in Cambria crash


A motorcyclist was killed late Saturday afternoon after losing control while driving on Plank Road in Cambria.

The Niagara County Sheriff's Office was called to the scene shortly after 6 p.m. It was reported that the cyclist stopped at a stop sign on North Ridge Road, they proceeded south on Plank Road, lost control of the bike and veered off the east side of the road, striking a 4-by-4 wooden post and several other objects. The motorcycle went another 75 feet after the driver was ejected.

The operator of the motorcycle died on the scene. Their name was being withheld pending the notification of family.
