Stolen car found burning in Falls alley

Falls police were called the 1300 block alley north of Ashland Avenue about 11:50 p.m. Sunday night for a report of a car engulfed in flames.

Niagara Falls firefighters arrived on the scene about the same time and extinguished the '99 Chrysler Sebring.

The registered owner arrived a short time later and said he'd been picked up by a friend and left his car parked on Niagara Avenue at 10:30 p.m. Sunday. When he arrived home at 11:45 p.m. he noticed the car was gone and called police at 11:58 p.m. and was informed his car was in the alley.

He said he was only one with keys to the vehicle and he had them with him. 

After looking over the car, the owner said an amplifier, speaker box and DVD/CD player were missing from the vehicle.
