Davis linked to murder

Niagara Gazette — LOCKPORT -- Teara Dominique Fatico spoke softly and calmly as she told a Niagara County Court jury how she, a friend and her then boyfriend, Matthew “Bones” Davis, plotted to rob Antoine Bradberry.

It wasn’t until the day after she went to Bradberry’s Rainbow Boulevard apartment, Fatico said, that she learned the robbery had resulted in murder.

Fatico was one of the first witnesses called by prosecutors in the trial of Davis which began on Wednesday. He is charged with two counts of second-degree murder, first-degree robbery and first-degree burglary in the slaying of Bradberry.

Police investigators have described Davis as the mastermind in the Bradberry murder. Fatico also claimed that robbing Bradberry was Davis’s idea.

Fatico, 22, has already ready pleaded guilty to a charge of attempted first-degree burglary in the Bradberry case and is serving a 13-year state prison sentence. Another co-defendant, Chasity Wilson, 21, has also pleaded guilty to attempted first-degree burglary and is serving a 13-year prison term.

Wearing a drab, brown prison uniform, Fatico frequently looked directly at Davis as she testified but the mother of a 2-year-old daughter showed no emotion while she spoke.

Fatico said she met Bradberry on Facebook, where he would often comment when she posted pictures of herself. She said she chatted with him on-line for a few months, despite being involved with Davis.

On Aug. 21, 2011, Fatico said Bradberry sent her a message asking to meet her. Davis was at Fatico’s house when she read the message.

“He (Davis) looked kind of shocked (when he saw the message),” Fatico said. “(Davis) said he knew (Bradberry), he said he had a child with his cousin.”

Davis told Fatico that she could go and meet Bradberry and “see what I could get out of him.”
