New York State Police have arrested an 18-year-old Lewiston woman who was driving the car involved in a fatal crash May 19 on Walmore Road.

Taylor J. Clause was charged Tuesday with second-degree vehicular manslaughter and second-degree vehicular assault following an investigation of the crash.

A blood sample from Clause revealed her blood alcohol content to be twice the legal limit of 0.08, according to a state police press release.

Jasmin P. Dubuc, 19 of Cayuga Drive, Niagara Falls, was killed in the May 19 crash.

Dubuc was ejected from the 2009 Mazda after it failed to negotiate a curve while traveling north on Walmore, near Mount Hope Road about 6 a.m. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Clause and another 18-year-old in the car were flown to Erie County Medical Center by Mercy Flight.

New York State Police say none of the teens was wearing a seat belt prior to the accident.
