Stolen car pulled from Erie Canal in Lockport

The Niagara County Sheriff's Office's Underwater Recovery Team recovered a stolen car from the Erie Canal on Sunday.

Sheriff's deputies were called to the canal, in an area near Upson Park Sunday afternoon for a report of a car in the water.

The unoccupied 2013 GMC Sierra had been reported stolen from the Wrights Corner area.

Lockport police and fire officials assisted at the scene.
