PENDLETON — A three-year-old child has been rescued from a home at the center of a standoff in Pendleton.

A man believed to have shot his wife is still inside a Campbell Boulevard home.

Several police agencies have responded to the home on Campbell Boulevard, between Saunders Settlement and Lockport Roads.

Niagara County Sheriff James Voutour told Channel 4 News the man’s wife was located outside of the home, with a bullet wound to the face around 9:45 a.m. Wednesday. Authorities believe she was shot by her husband. She was taken to ECMC, and is conscious.

Authorities are trying to make contact with the man, Wednesday. Voutour says police have secured the inner and outer perimeters, and helicopters are hovering over the area.
